Responsibilities:
- Sterilization:
Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are meticulously sterilized and maintained to uphold infection control standards.
- Room Preparation:
Assist in setting up treatment rooms for patients, arranging equipment, and instruments.
- Client Welcome:
Create a welcoming environment for patients, assisting with paperwork and inquiries upon arrival.
- Dentist Assistance:
Support dentists during procedures by providing instruments, ensuring a clear field of vision, and anticipating their needs.
- Radiography:
Capture dental X-rays as directed, and process them for diagnostic purposes.
- Chairside Support:
Provide assistance during procedures to enhance patient comfort and safety.
- Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other dental assistants and staff to deliver exceptional patient care and maintain office efficiency.
- Flexible Schedule:
Willingness to work flexible hours and share closing duties with other assistants.
- Training:
Openness to learning all aspects of dental office operations, including both front and back-office tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred - X-ray certification required; additional certifications are a plus - Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and instruments preferred - Proficiency in Dentrix software preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
